Are you planning to rent a boat in Ibiza? While dropping anchor around the island at beaches and coves is possible, if you’re sailing for several days it will probably be necessary to spend a night in port. These are Ibiza and Formentera’s main ports:
BOTAFOC IBIZA
With 428 moorings, Botafoc Ibiza is one of the foremost marinas in the Mediterranean. It’s also one of Ibiza’s best ports in terms of atmosphere, located just a few metres from the famous Milla de Oro and surrounded by restaurants and trendy clubs. The very tempting Talamanca beach is also just a matter of metres away. Botafoc Ibiza also has a filling station and supermarket. At Botafoc Ibiza you’ll find the Coral Yachting office, so if you’re passing through, don’t hesitate to drop in and say hi! :)
MARINA IBIZA
This is the most expensive port on the island, formerly known as Ibiza Nueva and recently renovated. Its facilities are completely new and offer many moorings. One of its strong points is its location, a stone’s throw from Ibiza town centre.
IBIZA MAGNA
This is Ibiza’s oldest marina, sited at the foot of the walled town of Dalt Vila and surrounded by bars and pubs. It offers two floating jetties, and while the facilities are quite old, the location, which is excellent, makes up for it. Making reservations beforehand is generally a must.
CLUB NÁUTICO DE IBIZA
The Ibiza Sailing Club offers various jetties for members and a floating jetty for visitors. The facilities are a little outdated, but the jetty for temporary visitors is new. It offers all the necessary facilities, including a coffee shop and restaurant, and has an ideal location for talking a stroll through Ibiza town.
MARINA SANTA EULALIA
The port of Santa Eulalia is very well maintained. It doesn’t have many moorings for temporary visitors, but those it has can be booked in advance. It has a filling station, all manner of restaurants, and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. There is also a marine store and supermarket in the port.
PUERTO DE SAN ANTONIO
The San Antonio sailing club is a recently revamped port with all of its facilities in good condition. It has a filling station on the central jetty and an excellent location, with all kinds of services available just across the avenue: restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets, and several marine stores...
PUERTO DE SAN ANTONIO (PUBLIC)
The public port of San Antonio has four floating jetties with mooring services. It only accepts vessels under 12 metres and the prices are quite affordable. The facilities are outdated and the changing rooms are shared with a popular public beach bar. It has a diesel filling station.
BUOYS IN SAN ANTONIO BAY
Another mooring option in the San Antonio bay are the buoys in the bay. They offer the possibility of dropping anchor at very affordable prices, and renting a buoy includes a 24-hour transport service. Also included are the use of changing rooms and the pier for auxiliary vessels.
FORMENTERA'S PORTS
Formentera has two ports: Marina de Formentera and Formentera Mar.
They are not very large and have few moorings available, so reserving one beforehand is recommended to ensure getting a spot. Both are located at La Sabina and have filling stations.
