Espalmador Island
Espalmador is an idyllic place: a small, uninhabited island, a few metres off the northern coast of Formentera, with beaches of white sand and turquoise waters that make you think you’re on beach in the Caribbean. Es Caló beach, also known as Ses Platgetes, is one of the most-visited beaches on Formentera. The main attractions of this beach are is small coves with rocky outcrops, its dunes and the surrounding vegetation, all of which combine to ensure it is the favourite destination for many visitors to the island. Located on the western side of the island, this small beach possesses limitless beauty thanks to its views and the incredible natural landscape that surrounds it. The transparency of its waters, in which there are also some rocky areas, attracts numerous visitors in high season, especially nudists. It also has various fishermen’s huts where working fishing vessels can still be found.
