An infinity of tiny coves open up between the coastal areas of rock and the dunes. This is not visited very much by tourists and you will definitely find a place to put down your towel.
There normally aren’t many boats in the area as it`s the beach which is furthest from Ibiza. Here you can enjoy peace and tranquillity surrounded by the clearest water and a range of restaurants. As you make your way there you will pass the most famous lighthouse: Faro de Cap de Barbaria from which a famous local wine takes its name.
This restaurant lies right on the beach with sea views. It’s popular with local residents and has reasonable prices and fantastic service, a place where you know you will eat well. We recommend the Formentera prawn carpaccio, octopus cerviche (cured) and fish and seafood fideuá.

This renowned hippy beach bar restaurant is one of our favourite places to have a mojito while watching the sunset over el Cap de Barbaria. At the beginning of the 70s, Pascual bought a bus which would stand close to the beach and which today has become one of the most famous chiringuitos on the island. If you haven’t been to el Pirata Bus, you’re really saying you haven’t been to Formentera!
