Every year super yachts and mega yachts anchor there over the summer months.
This bay is protected from northern and easterly winds by the surrounding cliffs and can be found halfway between the posts of Ibiza, San Antonio and Formentera. It’s a rocky beach but there are floating walkways which allow you to access the beach and the sea.
The atmosphere of its famous beach clubs will encourage any vessel to anchor there over night to enjoy the music of their DJs and the exclusive clientele.
There are also places at Cala Jondal where families and those that wish to spend a quiet day can relax.
This top restaurant in Cala Jondal is open all year round and is run by the beach club adjacent to it: Blue Marlin. This is a quieter restaurant that its neighbor where you can enjoy feeling the sand under your feet while you admire the superyachts which are anchored there while trying a dish from their Mediterranean menu made from local ingredients.
We recommend you try the cava-based sangrias on offer made with fresh fruit and the best cava. It’s not worth you asking for the recipe, they will never give it to you!

This beach club has acquired international fame and been able to create its own brand and reputation globally. Its exclusive clientele that arrive by yacht and its idyllic setting has made it one of Ibiza’s hotspots.
During the day there is a breakfast and brunch menu. Over the course of the day its sun loungers and Balinese beds are filled with beauties and bottles of rosé and sangria. Its food could be described as Mediterranean fusion but it doesn’t leave anyone disappointed. In addition there is a massage service and a small fashion boutique.
As the day comes to a close and the sun begins to set, the atmosphere changes and the dance floor fills with people moving to the rhythm of the DJ’s set. For those who need a little more space in this very popular spot, VIP reservations can be made.

On a small area of sand you will find this restaurant with its marvellous sea views which has been chosen by our team together with Es Xarcu as one of their favourites in Cala Jondal. It has a varied menu from traditional Ibicencan fayre to international dishes. There is also a light meal menu of sandwiches, pasta dishes and salads.
If you don’t fancy leaving your boat, don’t worry there is a dinghy service which can bring your food to you on board your charter boat.
On some days the restaurant organises thematic events which are great fun and there is a massage service and a small boutique which sells clothes there.

In the small cove of Es Xarcu, where local men congregate in the fishermen’s huts, those that are familiar with this restaurant know it can go unnoticed. Situated to the side of Cala Jondal in a tiny untouched cove with a good depth to anchor you will find this little bar which almost looks as if it is floating on the water. It offers idyllic views and peace and quiet together with magnificent fresh seafood and fish dishes.
This is where you can relax and enjoy the authentic fish of the island like halibut, rotja, san pedro gallo, red prawn, raon and denton. Fresh local fish cooked in the traditional way in the oven.
For many of our customers, it’s a favourite! They go there because of the quality of its food, its peaceful location and lovely views.
