Its a private island, situated to the north of Formentera and a mere 3 km long its one of our clients' favourite locations. Some have described it as a Caribbean paradise in the middle of the Mediterranean.
Only 200 metres of water separate it from the island of Formentera, some who are brave cross the section called paso de Es Trocadors walking across when the tide is low. We do not recommend this action as the currents are very strong. As the water is very shallow here, it is not possible to cross by boat.
There are no bars, nor restaurants, nor shops here but you will find beaches of white sand and transparent water. As a curiosity the island is for sale for an asking price of 18 million Euros.
In the small bay of Es Palmador there is an area of buoys where to anchor and not damage the sea grass beds. This spot fills with yachts as it is well protected from the northern and easterly winds.
