A paradise of white sand and crystal clear water, it holds all of the enchantment of the Mediterranean. Offering very interesting gastronomic choice, this is one of the most popular beaches for our clients as it is the closest to Ibiza.
In high season it is full of superyachts who choose it as a strategic point for anchorage. Due to its sandy seabed, transparent water, amazing fish restaurants and beautiful visitors who walk along the beach there, it has become a leading destination.
The majority of boats are concentrated in the area of the famous restaurant Juan and Andrea. Wind and waves permitting, we recommend you drop anchor on the eastern side where there are fewer people. In the North, you can also find unspoiled coves for nudists where the few hippies that are left on the island reside.
In 1971, a fisherman called Juan and a woman from Soria called Andrea opened a little beach bar restaurant on the beach. Over the years it has become one of the most iconic and exclusive spots in Formentera. Michael, co-founder of Coral Yachting remembers that in the 70s and 80s thedreamers of all social classes and nationalities used to congregate around this bar to enjoy the food and the magical atmosphere there.
Years later, the restaurant is run by the couple’s children who have managed to create a unique ambience where the luxury of eating fresh fish with your feet in the sand has a price.
Sitting around you, it is quite likely you will recognise some famous faces as it’s one of those place with a long list of VIPS.

Next door to Juan and Andrea you will find one of the first restaurants established in Illetes. Don’t be misled when you see the less exclusive decor and relaxed atmosphere of the place. It has first class service and first class food. It is right on the beach in an ideal spot for children to play.

One of the most emblematic restaurants in Formentera. It is situated in an old windmill which was used in the past by those who worked in the production of salt on the island. It has been converted into a top quality restaurant. It occupies an ideal location with one of the best views of the sunset in Formentera and with magical views to Es Vedra. On special occasions it is still one of the restaurants favoured by local people as they come to delight in the fresh fish and excellent wine list.
There is a small chill out area with sea views where you can try fresh, mouthwatering cocktails.

The new hot spot of Formentera. Hidden amongst the dunes and sabina trees of Formentera, here you can dine on a mixture of cooking from the Basque country and Mediterranean dishes with your toes in the sand surrounded by the fashionable set. If you want to feel the atmosphere book a table for later in the evening. After food is served, the tables are pulled back and the mojitos begin to flow, as the music of the DJ calls all the diners to the sandy dance floor.
We recommend the spectacular meat from the Basque country and any of the rice dishes. There are no sea views from the restaurant, but there is a beach opposite.
